IB Students' Tale (page 2)

Sara’s tale
Neither had she a pleasant life to live through,
Far away from her family, here with the crew,
She is living by herself in her dwelling,
Alone she took care of everything.
But at one moment everyone were unwell,
At a point where death awaits at hell,
Due to a plague that struck her homeland.
She went back to her family to give a hand.
With only her presence of warmness,
Were her parents and siblings healed in tenderness.

Ben’s tale
All kind of services he does but all of them are illegal,
As these were the only affordable work offered in his rural.
But he seemed poorer than the poorest beggars alive,
For he keeps to himself only enough to survive,
While the rest of the profits are sent to nourish his family of five.
Still very devastated they were, he wanted to give up,
Until the day of which God helped him stood up.
Given to him a good amount of provisions for a month to share;
He found chickens, a rabbit and a dog in the middle of nowhere.
His hope came back and that of his family, that life was after all not unfair.

Dave’s tale
Another kid like Ben who lived through poverty,
But with the addition of the beatings of his daddy,
Bad he was, always fighting against persons
Of whom insulted the roots of his nations.
It was two years ago of which he found his soul mate,
That he began to notice the value of life, of love and of hate.
Within these two years he did the work worth fifteen years.
He became from a brat to a mastermind that faced no fears.
Before ending with a shattered heart lonely again,
Because she found within him no more to gain.

Wanda’s tale
A girl full of passion who loves and loves to be loved,
However constantly by a man she is being fooled.
Even with her devotion to love and how hard to it she holds,
Her lovers only see opportunity to fill their purse with her golds.
Like a princess waiting for her prince charming
To come rescue her from her frequent crying.
Something of which her mother does not comprehend
For she has gave up on fairy tales in the earlier moment.
A grown up girl with only one ambition true to her,
It is with her prince to live happily ever after.

Mona’s tale
A little girl with big dreams;
Within the world, peace with all means.
But problems arise in her own family,
Breaking within one self its tranquility.
Causing her heart to quiver,
Sending her dreams ever further,
Taking away all her purposes of living.
Except one, her will of continuing.
If a household can’t even be in harmony,
How can the world ever be?

Mike’s tale
He had a dog that wanted to be the fastest one,
But kept procrastinating until the he falls down in a pit.
Lack of trainings made him lose against Dave’s rabbit.
His dog was indeed the hunter of the country, fast and fit,
But the rabbit also was the fastest of its kind.
So the dog to the rabbit kept chasing behind
For months until both fall exhausted.
One day a deprived kid from the south passes by it
And captures these innocent animals to cook and eat them.
Like father like son, like pet like him.

Polo’s tale
He was luckier than any of the others nine;
Wealth he had and with his family a relation so fine.
Skilful in music, he could play blindly all the concerto and sonata,
And he was a highly ranked corporal in the lord’s number one militia.
The only obstacle he had to face was mainly he,
Displaced values and destructive to a human it can be.
He was too gentle making him weak among his foe,
Confused he was, he did not know if he should let go.
And let go he almost did if it wasn’t for our hands
To pull him back up from his fall, from him many thanks.

Maggie’s tale
She’s present on her friend’ demand,
She’s available on her boss’ command,
All these plus her success in school done in haste.
Indeed someone who believes in herself rather than faith.
But like any other humans, slowly she slides down,
If she does not wake up from her dream world she might drown.
Came a solution for her problem to disappear:
This is looking at the mirror and saying she can do it without fear.
Being conscious of what you are doing
Is the secret ingredient to make the potion of success.

James’ tale
At his birth he was cursed by the sleeping spell,
Slowly growing into his roots making his life a hell.
Strong he was to resist from this enchantment,
But not enough to fully stay awake away from silent.
Not only sleepy he was but also filled with laziness.
Indeed a vicious poison making him live in harshness.
Perhaps this explains why he failed twice to ride a horse with permission.
If not for this curse, we would have distinguished his skills without hesitation.
Like a skilled man keeping a profile low,
Only when the time comes that his true power will show.

Julia’s tale
She helps us much but we shout when she would stop,
As we were spoiled to the bottom and fools to the top.
Hard it is for a mother to feed her child without making him sore
When it is the child who keeps asking for more
Without knowing the real cost of suffering.
It is only after our scam that we start noticing
That she was our instructor not for without a reason,
But sometimes too late, we have to endure the guilt of treason.
Guess you have to become an instructor and start teaching
To know what it is like to receive the flaming from one you are helping.
